The death of Sadhvi Prem Baisa, a well-known religious storyteller and preacher from western Rajasthan, has raised alarm and widespread speculation. She was brought to a private hospital in Jodhpur from her Boranada ashram on Wednesday evening, where doctors declared her brought dead. What Happened Before Her Death
According to hospital and family accounts, Prem Baisa had been suffering from cold and cough for some time. Her father, Veeram Nath, who is also her spiritual guru, said they called a compounder (healthcare worker) to the ashram when her condition worsened. Shortly after the compounder administered an injection, she became unconscious and remained unresponsive.
Doctors said they made every effort to revive her but could not detect any movement in her body. The compounder has been detained, and his medical equipment seized as part of the investigation.
Father Refused Ambulance, Took Body Directly
Police sources and doctors said an ambulance was offered to transport Prem Baisa for post-mortem at a government facility. However, her father refused and instead took her body back to the ashram in his private vehicle. Authorities later sealed the ashram and recovered the body for investigation.
Suspicious Instagram Post After Death
What has added to the mystery is an Instagram post from Prem Baisa’s account made about four hours after she was declared dead. The post appeared to be a farewell message in which she spoke about her life, devotion to Sanatan Dharma, and faith in receiving justice after death:
“I am bidding farewell to this world forever, but I have complete faith in God and the revered saints and sages.”
Her father told the leading news channel that the post was sent from her mobile phone and claimed a fellow guru helped share the message.
Viral Video and Past Controversy
Last year, a viral video featuring Prem Baisa and her father circulated online, showing her embracing him in a room before another woman entered and removed a blanket. Prem Baisa later said the clip was taken out of context and was an attempt by others to humiliate the familial bond. The police investigated the complaint and arrested one person in connection with spreading the video.
This past controversy, along with the unusual post-mortem events of her death, has intensified public curiosity and demands for clarity.
