Khalistani Terrorist Inderjeet Singh Gosal Gets Bail in Canada, Threatens India’s NSA Ajit Doval

Released on bail days after arrest, Gosal pledges support for Khalistan movement led by Gurpatwant Singh Pannun

Who is Inderjeet Singh Gosal?

Inderjeet Singh Gosal is a Khalistani separatist and a close associate of Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. Gosal was recently arrested in Canada on multiple firearm charges. He is known as the Canada organizer for the banned group Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), which campaigns for the creation of Khalistan, a separate Sikh state.

Gosal’s Release and Threat to Ajit Doval

Just six days after being arrested in Ontario, Gosal was granted bail. Upon release, he publicly declared his support for Pannun and the Khalistan referendum planned for November 23, 2025.

In a video recorded outside the prison, Gosal said:

“India, I’m out; to support Gurpatwant Singh Pannun in organising the Khalistan referendum. Delhi will become Khalistan.”

Following this, Pannun directly threatened India’s National Security Adviser (NSA), Ajit Doval, saying:

“Ajit Doval, come to Canada, America, or Europe and try to arrest me. I am waiting for you.”

Charges and Arrest Details

Gosal was arrested during a traffic stop in Ontario on September 19, along with two others: Jagdeep Singh from New York and Arman Singh from Toronto. They faced charges including:

  • Careless use of a firearm
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Carrying a concealed weapon

They were brought before the Ontario Court of Justice in Oshawa.

Previous Arrests and Quick Bail

This is not Gosal’s first arrest. In November 2024, he was arrested over a violent incident at a Hindu temple in Brampton, Canada. Like this time, he was released on bail quickly.

Impact on India-Canada Relations

India has expressed concerns about Canada’s leniency toward Khalistani extremists. While recent arrests seemed to signal a tougher stance by Canada, the quick bail granted to Gosal raises doubts.

India remains vigilant as the Khalistan referendum approaches. Officials are closely monitoring these developments and preparing for further diplomatic engagement.
