When & Who Can Go
- The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) organises the official Yatra between June and September.
- Eligibility: Indian citizens aged 18–70, in good health with a BMI of 25 or below, holding a valid passport.
Routes to Choose From
There are two main MEA-approved routes:
- Lipulekh Pass (Uttarakhand) — Takes about 22 days per batch.
- Nathu La Pass (Sikkim) — Around 21 days to complete.
