The fifth suspect in the firing incident outside Bollywood actor Disha Patani’s ancestral home in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, has been injured in a police encounter. The dramatic operation occurred today in the forests of the Shahi police station area.

Background: Firing Outside Disha Patani’s Bareilly Home

On September 12, around 3:45 am, two men fired shots in the air outside Disha Patani’s house in Bareilly.
CCTV footage captured the incident.
The attackers were later killed in an encounter with police in Ghaziabad on Wednesday.

Gang Involvement and Motive

Hours after the firing, a man claiming to be linked with the Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar gang took responsibility.
He alleged the shooting was a response to Khushboo Patani (Disha’s sister) insulting spiritual figures:

- Aniruddhacharya

Ongoing Investigation: Juveniles Detained

Earlier today, Delhi Police’s Special Cell detained two juveniles in connection with the firing.

Amitabh Yash, UP’s Additional Director General (ADG) of Law and Order, made a strong statement:
