Two people die in a plane crash; crashed into a Texas neighborhood

The accident occurred in the Woodbranch area, 40 miles south of downtown Houston

TEXAS – Two people were killed when a small plane crashed into a Montgomery County neighborhood facility this Sunday.

The accident occurred in the Woodbranch area, 40 miles south of downtown Houston.

At around 8:40 am, residents of the neighborhood called authorities to report that they saw a plane crash in the area.

Agents from the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the emergency and upon arrival at the scene they found the plane wrecked with two people dead inside.

Neighbors reported that their houses shook upon impact.

The four-seat Grumman AA-5A Cheetah plane was registered to a pilot from the Porter, Texas, area, authorities said.

The accident remains under investigation and so far no details have been provided about what may have caused the tragedy. The identities of the deceased have not been released.
