Realtor Alan Berlow of Coldwell Banker Realty sold the house and told Today that the 3-foot-wide area is used as a bathroom and storage area. He also revealed how the house got its endearing nickname: “It’s shaped like a piece of cake . It is also a ‘slice’ of history in Deerfield, an area on Chicago’s famous North Shore ”.
When looking at the house, one might think that the bedrooms and bathrooms are quite small, but Berlow claims that they actually feel like normal size.
“The space and the way it is laid out in the house is certainly not traditional, but it works. The house was built specifically for the size of the lot and is much more functional than it looks, ”he explained.
