Philadelphia police are investigating an alleged plot to attack the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia Thursday night, a center where votes for the presidential election are being counted , WPVI (Action News) reported .

Action News learned that police received a tip about a group, possibly a family, coming from Virginia in a Hummer to unleash an attack on the Convention Center where votes are counted in Philadelphia.

Action News reported that he was there when a man was arrested. It is not known if the man is related to the investigation of the alleged attack.

Police say they recovered a gun and the Hummer they received a tip from. There were also no injuries reported during the investigation.

Workers continue to count votes inside the convention center. Tensions were high outside the Pennsylvania Convention Center throughout Thursday as Trump and Biden supporters held demonstrations.
