Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced that Google will invest $15 billion to set up a gigawatt-scale AI and data center hub in Visakhapatnam, marking the largest investment by Google outside the U.S.
Naidu took to social media, saying, “G in Vizag now stands for Google,” highlighting the significance of the project for the state’s tech ambitions.
“This is not just an investment, it’s a transformation for Andhra Pradesh. Visakhapatnam will emerge as a global technology hub,” Naidu tweeted.

The AI hub is expected to:

- Contribute around ₹10,518 crore to state revenue from 2028–2032.
