The Norwegian developers of the Internet browser Opera announced that they are offering a payment of $ 9,000 for a dream job: surfing the Internet just for fun for two weeks.
The company said the successful candidate will spend two weeks doing online activities such as searching for memes, watching videos of cute animals and researching unusual topics, while live-streaming the experience on Opera’s social media channels.
“This may seem like a joke, but it really isn’t. In fact, we are hiring a person to surf the web and pay you for it. What we are looking for in a candidate is the unpolished truth, we want someone who has the guts to share their online experience with the world, “said Maciej Kocemba , product manager for Opera desktop browser.
Stakeholders are asked to record a 15- to 60-second video “where they talk about the most relevant internet surfing moment of their life.”
It can be anything from a funny incident to a very serious revelation , “the company explained.
Applications will be accepted until November 13.
