Biden: “We are on our way to winning the election”

The Democratic candidate addressed his supporters on election night and called for hope

Democratic candidate Joe Biden addressed the nation at 12:30 a.m. on November 4 although the results of the presidential election are still up for grabs, with states undecided.

Biden spoke briefly from Wilmington, Delaware, thanking the people for their participation in these elections and reiterating his confidence in the results.

“We believe we are on our way to winning this election ,” Biden said. “We knew from the unprecedented volume of vote-by-mail that this would take a long time, but we have to be patient, and we will wait until all the votes are counted.”

Biden was confident of winning Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan and -when counting is done- Pennsylvania. He also said he was “alive” in Georgia.

Biden closed his public appearance with a call for hope in the election results.

At 12:20 a.m. Wednesday morning, Biden has 227 electoral votes to President Trump’s 210 , though millions of mail-in votes cast amid the pandemic have yet to be counted.
