Actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay has formally launched his Outreach Programme for the families affected by the tragic Karur stampede. The incident, which occurred during his political rally, resulted in the death of several supporters and sparked intense public debate.

As part of his outreach initiative, Vijay began by making personal video calls to the families of the victims. He expressed condolences, offered emotional support, and assured them that his team would remain in touch to provide assistance.

Weeks after the tragedy, Vijay met around 37 families at a resort in Mamallapuram. He explained that he was unable to visit Karur directly due to certain restrictions, but wanted to meet each family personally in a safe and comfortable setting.
