A Direct Question to Pakistan’s Prime Minister

Following his praise for Pakistan’s leadership, Trump directed a pointed question to Prime Minister Sharif:

“I think that Pakistan and India are going to live very nicely together, right?”

Caught off guard, Sharif responded with a smile, and Trump continued,

“They are, they are… and they’re two great… I tell you… leaders, great leaders as far as I’m concerned.”

Sharif’s Response and Nobel Peace Prize Nomination

Later, Prime Minister Sharif took the podium and expressed gratitude towards President Trump for his role in de-escalating tensions between India and Pakistan earlier in the year. Sharif nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, stating that Trump had “saved millions of lives not only in South Asia but also in the Middle East.” He emphasized that Trump’s efforts had brought peace to both regions.
